LWD6 Series - Inline Groove No Hole 60° Deep V Large Wire Wedge Bonding Tools
The inline groove was one of the most widely used foot designs for large wire bonding. The bond deformation width is smaller than that seen with a concave foot design. The inline groove design was the first step away from the concave foot, and primarily utilizes a cutting tool for second bond termination.
The LWD6 tool is a 60° Deep 'V'Groove variation on the standard CK Wedge.
No Hole style tools require a separate wire feed guide which positions the wire just behind the tool and travels in unison with the tool movement. The choice of No-Hole tool is determined by the bonding machine used.
