For the best microblasting results, your abrasive powder needs to be dry and the compressed air supply feeding your microblaster also needs to be dry. The simplest way is to use a desiccant air dryer with an oil filter. This will remove oil and moisture from your air supply and will help keep your powder dry.
The oil filter is placed before the desiccant filter to absorb the heavier oils from the compressed air supply and then the silica gel desiccant beads absorb any moisture at flow rates up to 7.5 SCFM.
The AD5100 requires no power to function, it is simply inserted into the air line between the compressed air supply and your microblaster.
Perfect as a low cost air dryer for a Microblaster or Accuflo blaster when used intermittently for more intensive use, we do recommend a continuous air dryer.
The desiccant used turns from orange when new to a green colour when they become saturated with moisture. The new orange-to-green desiccant beads are safe for use in any Comco desiccant air dryer and are an acceptable replacement for those currently using blue-to-pink beads. Replacement charges of desiccant beads are Comco Part No. ST6104-4
